Project Overview

Word Weave is a complete Android word puzzle game built natively in Kotlin, designed for long-term player engagement and ad-based monetization. Players form words from a grid of letters across three difficulty modes — Easy, Medium, and Hard — each containing 150 levels organized into chapters of 10. The game features a rich coin economy where players earn coins by discovering target words, bonus words, and extra words, with additional speed bonuses and level completion rewards. Coins can be spent on contextual hints or used to unlock premium visual themes. A daily reward system encourages return visits, offering up to 10 rewarded video ads per day with milestone chest bonuses at the 5th and 10th ad. Themes are a core cosmetic feature, with 8 unlockable themes (Forest, Ocean, Cherry Blossom, Mountain, Galaxy, Desert, Jungle, Arctic) each transforming the game's visual identity. Collections and Achievements systems track player progress with granular milestones — from word discovery streaks to coin-based and level-completion badges. Ad monetization is handled cleanly using Google AdMob, with banner ads on menus, interstitial ads between level transitions (shown every 3–5 levels), and rewarded video ads tied to coin doubling and daily bonuses. The entire ad layer is gracefully handled — failures never block gameplay. Architecture follows MVVM with Hilt dependency injection and Room for local persistence.
